Transition to School - 2023
Starting school is a significant event in the life of children and their families. Strong relationships and information sharing between families, early childhood settings and schools helps support a child's successful transition to school.
At Wollondilly Public School, we offer a range of opportunities for our new students, to assist with a positive transition to school. We are here to assist you and support your child as they commence school.
Information evening for parents and carers
You are invited to attend our information evening on Thursday 28th July, 2022, 5.30-6.30pm, in the school library. This will be an opportunity to find out about what our school has to offer. We look forward to meeting you!
Kindergarten Interviews
This is an opportunity for parents and carers to meet with our current Kindergarten teachers in a one on one situation, to talk about your child's strengths, interests and areas of need. This valuable information assists the school in planning for the best start possible, when your child commences school the following year. Interviews will be conducted on Monday 14th, Thursday 17th and Friday 18th November, 2022. Please contact the school office to book and appointment.
Orientation
Our orientation sessions will run from Monday 24th October to Friday 11th November, 2022. Your child will experience 3 orientation sessions on either a Monday, Thursday or Friday. You will be notified of your child's specific orientation dates towards the end of Term 3.
